To register for your hotel room:
-- Register for your convention rate rooms by calling 1 (800) 228-9290 or (713) 961-1500 and state that you are reserving under the event "Kamikazecon".
-- All other room rates are regular price unless specified above.
-- Convention rates for the rooms are available UNTIL 2 WEEKS prior to the event... or until the reservation block is sold out.
-- Hotel Self-Parking rate of $7.50 a day are only for those who are registered overnight guests. If you are planning to attend Kamikazecon 3 and have a room, please use your room card to enter and exit the self-parking lots for the special rates. If you have problems, please contact the front desk of the hotel. There are two self-parking lots, one across the street to the right of Walgreens, and the other is under the hotel. Both are accessed via Sage Road and have unlimited in/out privileges.
-- Because we are across the street from the Galleria Mall, I'm sure there is ample FREE parking during the day only (Before midnight). It's just that you may have to walk across the street to get to the hotel. Any cars left in the Galleria Mall parking overnight may and possibly WILL get towed (those staying at the Westin Oaks Hotel (inside the Galleria Mall) have their own parking passes)
-- There is a Walgreens across from the JW Marriot on Sage Road. Parking here is not suggested as they may tow your car after a few hours. It's great for last minute snacks/food/medicine that Walgreens is known for.
-- If you are planning to eat at the Galleria Mall, please note that THE GALLERIA POLICE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO ENTER IF YOU ARE DRESSED IN A COSTUME. (
they may escort your off premise if they don't stop you at the door) We have asked to make an exception that weekend, but they are steadfast on their decisions.
